"I have to admit I have no questions for you Colonel. You have been
completely forthcoming in an extremely difficult situation and we
appreciate your willingness."

Stark nodded.  "It is the least I could do, Captain.  I must apologize for being reticent about talking at first."

"I should probably get along to my meeting with Admiral Van Der Loo, sir" he said as he stood up.

Jared agreed.  They did not want to raise any suspicions.  "Thank you again, Colonel.  I would like you to take my two aides with you.  I believe that Admiral Van Der Loo would understand that I would like to get the most up-to-date information about what is going on below.  They will serve as my official representatives at the meeting and have full clearance."

Stark only nodded in response.  He was not going to get into the turf war over this one.  He would only be the escort.

Jared turned to Joanna and David.  "I want you there listening and asking questions.  Do not become confrontational with the Admiral.  We need to get information."
