Hi Cem, could you confirm which version of spacewalk you are running
and if it has any history. (was is upgraded, etc)

Specifically also the version of spacewalk-admin you have installed
would be useful.

And thirdly could you run:
validate-sat-cert.pl /usr/share/spacewalk/setup/spacewalk-public.cert

And include it's output as well.

This should be working fine if you are running spacewalk 0.3 so we're a
little puzzled. :)

Thanks,

Devan

Dear all,
I've been trying to install spacewalk on RHEL5 over Oracle-XE, just as
mentioned on [1] and [2].
I completed the installation and it seems the spacewalk user was
properly setup (I got Connected to: response from SQL)
I'd like to use spacewalk as But after all, when I run "spacewalk-setup --disconnected"
Here's how it does,

<clipped>
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# spacewalk-setup --disconnected

** Loading Satellite Certificate.
** Verifying certificate locally.
** Activating Satellite.
There was a problem validating the satellite certificate: 1
</clipped>

What I see is, during "** Activating Satellite" stage,

# /usr/bin/rhn-satellite-activate
--rhn-cert /usr/share/spacewalk/setup/spacewalk-public.cert
--disconnected

is run. When I run the command manually,
# /usr/bin/rhn-satellite-activate
--rhn-cert /usr/share/spacewalk/setup/spacewalk-public.cert
--disconnected
#

No output is obtained.

What do you suggest me do? After running the satelite activation
manually, shall I comment out,
    satellite_activate(-filename => $answers->{'satellite-cert-file'},
                       %activate_options);
line at /usr/bin/spacewalk-setup?

Looking forward to hearing your solutions,
Regards,
Cem.
