Hello,
New spacewalk user here. I am trying to use the satellite-sync tool. I have set up the master server 'disable-iis=0' and I have listed the slave in the 'allowed_iss_slaves=' option in /etc/rhn/rhn.conf, for good measure I also listed these values in /etc/rhn/default/rhn_server_iss.conf, although I am not sure the values need to be set in both.
I set up the slave server with the master servers value's and also enabled iss in the same fashion. When running a simple channel list I experienced the bug that was reported in Bug 623699. I made the code changes as described in the fix (since I was unable to find the new spacewalk-backend rpm that was listed). Details can be found here:
http://git.fedorahosted.org/git/?p=spacewalk.git;a=commit;h=1ae63d9413faba14631ce9e90b91a76496406167
Once I did that, a general list gives me this error:
[r...@]# satellite-sync --list-channels

Both my slave and my master server have the correct hosts file entries. From what little information I have given you, can anyone give me any suggestions on what I have mis-configured?
Thanks - Cip
