Well, those were the names they've always been, and are what are current 3.0.0. As I said at the top of this thread, you can feel free to have a discussion about renaming the different types, but I don't think it's a hot enough issue to actually have any change come out. I think the 3 names make sense. "full" is the full/unaltered message. "body" are the parts you'd see in an MUA, fully decoded and rendered.
