This is the issue I spoke about before.

Which is why an rsync solution would work better for this kind of thing

now if the sare group is trying to avoid Dos's then a different tool needs to 
be employed.

We have stopped auto updating for this specific reason.  One screw up
and you are without spam protection, and reputation. (if one existed). :)
