Many logos in the contest are big while I would only like to
have a moderately small logo on my web site.

To make a proper choice I think that all logos should also be
good/usable/readable _when_ resized to something like to 120x60 pixels.

my 2 ct: I like 1.0.33 the most.

For my 2 cents worth, my favorite is 1.0.24. Several formats to
choose from and just an overall great looking logo in my opinion :-)

same here, best one.

But it's never going to show up on a corporate site or a ISP's "What we do about Spam" page. Sorry, it's just not. The logo need to be clean and professional. Mostly clean. It needs to look like a logo and not something "cool" with "ninjas".

Well, in my opinion, it's important to remember that this is an
open source project, and having a logo that looks professional
and corporate just does not need to be the top priority ;)
