sometimes one forgets where one saved the "i should remember this stuff"
and neatly hide it someplace... and forget where that was ??

not quite ... most are NOT an open relay used by spammers ...
but those mail servers that are misconfigured are used by the spammers
most linux distro now days leeave relaying off... such that your own
emails sometimes wont be sent .. unless you go in and configure it to
send your own email out the door
