The Chronicle of Higher Education is sponsoring
a live, online discussion on attempts by colleges
to limit spam on their e-mail systems, on Thursday,
September 26, at 2 p.m., U.S. Eastern time.

Daniel V. Klein, a consultant and software developer
who is a former senior member of the technical staff
of Carnegie Mellon University's Software Engineering
Institute, will respond to questions and comments during
the chat.

The Chronicle invites members of this list to read
an article about this issue, to join the discussion with
Mr. Klein, and to pose advance questions or comments
to him (advance questions are encouraged and may
be posted now) at:

http://chronicle.com/colloquylive/2002/09/spam/

A transcript of the discussion will be available at that
URL when the chat is over.
