"Heidi" "Anne M. Marble" Redstone? "Melita" "Cuspid"

First of all, why are you-all [that's Texan for the plural you] opening
your spam?

Once upon a time, I didn't know much about securing OE and IE - *and* I
did all of my mail handling [and ng reading] with OE while online. Under
those circumstances, it was imperative that I not open my spam; because
of what it could do with the unsecured browser/mua integration. That's
when I first configured my message rules to channel the spam into a Junk
folder, and "approached" the spam very gingerly; not opening or
previewing it, but examining it only by the Properties message source.

Now, I know how to secure both of them; but I still handle spam the same
way, unopened and unpreviewed. It is very unusual that I have to open and
allow a piece of spam to manipulate my browser to discover whatever
complex misdirection may have been built into the mail or obfuscating
urls. Those are the -only- rare occasions that I open spam.
