I contacted Paylong offline, but for the benefit of anyone else who may have run into this in the last few days, here's what happened. Sometime on the evening of May 14, Google made a change such that deleted calendar events sent to any clients of their API may no longer include the name of the event, but instead just use the name "CANCELLED". This confused our software into deleting detached events in some circumstances.
We've worked around this new behavior on our servers and the problem should no longer occur. However, if you've created any detached events (in other words, changed a single occurrence of a repeating event) over the last few days, any other detached events in that series may have been lost and you might want to restore from a backup.
