Hi,

The problem has finally been solved.

I un-install Spanning Sync, restore my iCal (with my previous back-
up), re-install Spanning Sync, then replace the Google Calendar data
using iCal data.
I guess the key is to un-install and re-install Spanning Sync to make
sure all the hidden records/modification/annotation of the calendars
are clean-really clean.
