I recently upgraded to Snow Leopard and so wanted to install Spanning
Sync 3. But the attempt to install version 3 failed. System
Preferences just hangs, and needs to be quit using Force Quit, and
there is a lot of disk activity. A process named 'zip' might be
involved (judging by Activity Monitor).

I am about to re-install v2.1.3.

By the way the link on the Spanning Sync hompage

http://spanningsync.com/tiger-dowload

is a mistake—I guessed correctly that it should be

http://spanningsync.com/tiger-download
