Holding wood when saying this, but syncing for me seems to work again. Must say I have done a reinstall on my iPhone to sync everyting with gmail by using the exchange option for the gmail account. First removed everything by removing even the local data on my phone (when removing account configs on phone) and then resetup of sync with gmail (address, mail, calendar).
