Today I noticed what I think is the same problem being reported here.
Spanning Sync pref's say I am "not signed in" and attempts to sign in
fail with "unknown error". In spite of being supposedly "not signed
in" my contacts are syncing (a bit of a nagging security concern
there) but my calendars are not.

I do NOT think this is solved.
