It is August 2 and I am still having this exact same problem. Then, even though I'm not logged in, Spanning Sync is able to sync my contacts, which sorta creeps me out. Calendar sync failing. At this point I will switch to using gMail and Google Contacts for adding/ editing data. By the way, this is the third time I've tried to post to the forums today -- once via email and once earlier today via browser, and neither of those two posts showed up. If this one doesn't show up I'll have to conclude there is some kind of forum censorship going on with regard to these widespread and long-term problems with syncing.
