I obtain the following error message when trying to open converted RAW --> mzXML mass spec data files in mzMine or other viewers:
"java.lang.IlegalArgumentException: Missing parent scan information for scan #1 (SimpleScan.java:72)" ReAdW was installed on a Dell workstation controlling a Thermo Finnigan Trace GC Trace 2000 Series instrument using Xcalibur v 1.4 software to process the RAW files to mzXML format. After resolving initial problems by reinstalling a functioning copy of zlib1.dll, the program seems to convert .RAW files appropriately to .mzXML format but I cannot open or access the data in mzMine or Insilicos Viewer. Is this a software problem or do I need to set a different parameter in the data collection settings for the GC instrument ? Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome !
