Dear All,

If you went through the normal process of installation as in
wiki<http://tools.proteomecenter.org/wiki/index.php?title=TPP_4.5.2:_Installing_on_Ubuntu_10.04.3>,

and got "cannot find tpp_gui.pl" error in your browser, here may be your
solution.

I am a beginner on Linux, so just type in all the following command after
you finish the installation as in the wiki.
===
sudo su
cd /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/
mv 000-default 000-defaultORG
vim 000-default
===
paste all the content in Apache config file e.g. tpp-x.y.z into this file,
as described in wiki.
exit vim by typing esc + ":wq". Before exit, check the header of the file.

And restart:
==
/etc/init.d/apache2 restart
==

If no error occurs, TPP is available through
http://localhost/tpp/cgi-bin/tpp_gui.pl now.

I have been working on this issue for months since I have absolutely no
idea how Apache works. I figure it out by looking at the shell script in
the source code folder. Its path is
/usr/local/src/TPP-4.6.2/installer_linux/install-ubuntu-9_04.sh

Hope this well help.

Byron
