Hi Bjorn, Joe,

Am currently battling with this on OS X Mavericks too. The updated boost
patch in trunk doesn't fix the build for the new clang in mavericks.

I came across something in the homebrew github repo related to getting
boost compiled on mavricks, due to the change to clang 5.0

https://github.com/mxcl/homebrew/commit/329fb40f8b687332be7e9d256e27a08636e093ba

I tried to specify the same arguments for the build of 1.45 in TPP, but it
didn't work. Since the changelog for later versions of boost mentions c++11
fixes I'm not surprized 1.45 doesn't work.

Currently I'm trying to modify the TPP stuff so that it will build against
the latest boost 1.54, to see if this, plus the build args in that homebrew
fix will results in something that works on mavericks.

I have the core tools building with boost 1.54 on linux, just need to fix
the build of spectrast and some other stuff. Next step then is to try it
out on OSX. Hopefully I'll know tomorrow morning...
