Hi John,

Installing the dev version using the command posted below worked fine for me on 
my mac. Below is a list of packages I have installed.

I noticed you had quite a few extra packages - I would recommend just 
installing RSGISLib first, seeing if this works then installing extra packages 
to see what is causing the problem.
