Very useful indeed. Thanks David! :-)

The web site for SPDX is part way through transitioning
(new templates, easier to keep up to date, more focused
on people using, and less on those developing the spec),
so hopefully it will become more useful next month, and
lets work with Jack to make sure it references this tutorial.

Couple of comments:
"tag:value" is the way in the spec for referring to
the other supported format. I'm spotting tag/value
and tag-value in the tutorial. When I'm back from
vacation, if someone hasn't beaten me to it, I'll
submit a pull request to fix this. ;-)

We had a discussion a couple of months ago
on the format to standardize for making references
to short form license identifiers in source files, and
direction felt appropriate was to go with what has
evolved in the wild, and is documented in
http://wiki.spdx.org/view/Technical_Team/SPDX_Meta_Tags
as an appendix for 2.1 to formalize it. However
in light of your comments and other's interest, we
should probably schedule a session to revisit in one
of the upcoming tech calls.

will comment on this on subsequent thread that has emerged. ;-)

Other thing I think is needed is to translate the SPDX 2.0 (and
future versions to HTML). If anyone has had some good experiences
translating Google Doc to HTML - very interested in recommendations...
Having it easier to access sections on the web site (rather than
the entire .pdf) will be useful.
