Hello,

In the SPDX page on the English Wikipedia:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_Package_Data_Exchange

You can read the following:

Deprecated
syntax[edit<https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Software_Package_Data_Exchange&action=edit&section=3>]

Starting version 2.0, it is no longer valid to use the + operator in a license
identifier.[10]<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_Package_Data_Exchange#cite_note-10>
By removing this syntax, it left an undefined state for licenses accepting the
current version and those after it, such as the
GPL.[11]<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_Package_Data_Exchange#cite_note-11>
It was valid to use GPL-3.0-or-later, but it wasn't explicitly written in the
specifications. This was fixed later with version
2.2.[12]<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_Package_Data_Exchange#cite_note-12>

From my reading of the current SPDX 2.2, I consider this is wrong. It is only
identifiers like GPL-2.0+ that are deprecated, but the “+” operator can still
be applied to licences.

Can you please confirm so that I can update the Wikipedia page?

Best regards,

Marc-Etienne Vargenau
