Exactly. At the very least, it should notify you that there are files
already there and that it thinks this is bad. Next major release!

Perhaps spectra should simply refuse to export or migrate if the export or
temporary path already exists (or contains directories like 'locations',
&c.) Otherwise it's just too error-prone.
