I'm out of the office today- but when I get in, I'll let you all know for
sure. I think was #4? :^)

Subject: RE: Default flash object
Hi,
Also working on getting a flash handler to work, I found the bug.
I was having the problem that the database was not updated with the file
object data. This when using it as an embedded object, in the exact same
fashion as when embedding an image (which works).
When doing a cfa_dump var="#flash#" immediately before and after the
file
picker method in the flash edit handler...
\spectra\handlers\system\flash\edit_eai.cfm
(made a copy and registered new method, so as to ensure that future
upgrades
won't render the application I'm developing unusable)
... both showed my file object as _empty_. Whereas, if I press the
update
button, the upper one is still empty, whilst the bottom one shows it as
populated.
After some searching I found that
\spectra\handlers\system\flash\_settings.cfm specifies <cfparam
name="dataSource" default="cfaObjects">. "datasource" is being used for
the
file picker and upload method in the flash edit handler .
"attributes.datasource" is being used most other places.
Changing all references from "datasource" to "attributes.datasource"
fixes
the problem.
Regards,
Jrgen
