So, if you set up a VPN from the developement boxes to the spectra server
mapping the server drives, Source Safe should work?

I agreed with Ray -- the only way we got it to work with a central server
was by
mapping drives to the server. Trying to make it work with RDS did NOT work.
At
the time I also went through a bunch of Forum postings and came away with
the
impression that it doesn't work through RDS.
The Spectra paper that Charles wrote (available on the Allaire site)
describes
an alternative arrangement for setting up source control (in which Spectra
is
run on each workstation) which seems workable although I haven't had the
opportunity to actually try it yet!

I've never had a problem using SourceSafe with Studio, but as for the
supposed 'integration' of CF Server and SourceSafe, I have never heard of
anyone getting it to work. I tried to get it working a few months ago, found
a bunch of posts about it on the Forums, but not one person had actually
gotten it to work.
