Ed,
This is really a third party solution -- and you should consider it a beta
at that.
Mike Collins got the idea, laid the ground work and coded much of the basic
functionality on his own time. Then Jason finished up the functionality,
integrated it all together and worked out all the kinks to adapt it to the
webtop (not an inconsequential amount of work I must say!).
Actually, by the time Jason got done with it, he wished he could go back to
the beginning and start all over again (doesn't it always seem to work that
way?) to make it that much better and smoother. Some of the known items we'd
like to improve are listed at the end of the White Paper. btw, that might be
a good place to look for some issues that could pose a problem for you.
But rather have everyone wait for us to go through it again, we figured it
would be good to get it out there and available.
Perhaps moving forward when Ray has the "compliance" site ready so official
submissions can be made and then verified, this might work its way into more
"sanctioned" code. But for now, it's not.

Thanks for your feedback everybody. The web top security has thrown me for a
loop every time we've tried to work with it. I thought it was me, but I'm
hearing the same exact stories as my own.
And is this custom security an Allaire/Macromedia sanctioned thing? Will we
get support on it outside of this list, or is this a 3rd Party solution?

Personally, I've been locked out of the webtop on my machine for about six
months. I have religiously tried every knowledgebase article, and I've
followed/tried every "locked out" thread to come on this list to no
avail. I'm really looking forward to trying the custom security.
