As far as I can tell, no mods have been made to the custom tags  -- though I
can not use design mode because some of the site is too 'complicated' for
the handlers -- yet we are only using eWebEditPro.  So who knows what was
changed. I never get real detail from them and have to discover things by
the comments in the code.  My favorite is when they list things that are not
finished...right in the code, yet charge us for them.  (They correct this
for free.)

At a guess I would expect that the company made a number of mods to either 
the Custom Tags, the Database or both and aren't certain of the 
consequences of upgrading the tags and database. Will their mods still 
work? Will their database changes be compatible?

I have been in that situation before and the upgrade price was down to the 
time required to make sure that nothing was broken as a result of the 
upgrade, and that if anything was broken it was fixed and thoroughly tested.
