Sometimes I need to RTFM and use Google. Had to change the queries in the ODBC settings of the UserDirectory: http://www.macromedia.com/v1/handlers/index.cfm?ID=21941&Method=Full
Then used the smconsole debugger to see what errors were coming up. Noticed: [21/Jun/2002:00:00:28 -0500][188-E] Failed to connect to an ODBC data source 'UserDirectory'. [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Login failed for user ' '.. Error code -1 [21/Jun/2002:00:00:28 -0500][188-E] Failed to connect to any of the following data sources: 'UserDirectory'. Changed the username in both the CFAdmin and ODBC panel for the UserDirectory DSN, and all is well now. Hope this helps someone in the future... -V -----Original Message----- From: Vinny DiDonato (si.rr) [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, June 20, 2002 11:22 PM To: Spectra-Talk Subject: RE: Adding Security Contexts On an additional note, I've managed to recreate the security context SC1 and the UserDirectory, but can't seem to log into the webtop now. This was after rolling back MDAC 2.6, rebooting, reinstalling MDAC 2.5.1, rebooting, going through the CF5 security wizards, and restarting services. So close, yet so far... -V -----Original Message----- From: Vinny DiDonato (si.rr) [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, June 20, 2002 11:14 PM To: Spectra-Talk Subject: RE: Adding Security Contexts Hey Ray: I tried, and nothing in our Spectra config would work afterwards. We've customized our copies of Spectra numerous times, so the files installed by the latest patches caused the sites to "break". -V -----Original Message----- From: Raymond Camden [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, June 20, 2002 11:09 PM To: Spectra-Talk Subject: RE: Adding Security Contexts Are you running the latest patches from spectrasource.macromedia.com? ======================================================================= Raymond Camden, ColdFusion Jedi Master for Macromedia Email : [EMAIL PROTECTED] Yahoo IM : morpheus "My ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is." - Yoda > -----Original Message----- > From: Vinny DiDonato (si.rr) [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Thursday, June 20, 2002 10:52 PM > To: Spectra-Talk > Subject: Adding Security Contexts > > > (Sorry about the cross-post -- I wasn't sure which group to post this > question to.) > > Hi all: > > We recently upgraded our Spectra box's CF server from 4.5 to > 5.0.
