1) make sure the "userdirectory" for the security context "sc1" is being used within the Security context for sc1.
2) Make sure that you can create a test policy and add a user to that policy without error. 3) Double check that the username and password are set within the userdirectory section of Advanced Security for the "userdirectory". Hope this helps. -Kurt. -----Original Message----- From: McKellar, Wes [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, March 05, 2003 7:20 PM To: Spectra-Talk Subject: Database Migration causes authentication issues. Howdy. I spent most of the day moving my CODBs, UserDirectory, and Siteminder db over to a new SQL server (it used to be on the same server as spectra). After some cursing and yelling, I finally got my security policy rebuilt from an export I made with the security wizard. However I am currently unable to log into the webtop or any other resources. I get "the credentials you provided could not be authenticated..." The areas of my site that do not authenticate with siteminder do work, and much faster at that. I used the SCTest utility to test out my login and can authenticate against the siteminder datasource using security context "sc1_security/sc1". Everything is cool there. However when I try to check my authorization I get "not authorized". I figure that there is a disconnect between my siteminder policy and my userdirectory... My userdirectory SQL login and password are good to go. My siteminder DSN verifies correctly. I am running MDAC 2.7, CF 5, Spectra 1.5.1, on NT 4. My backend database is SQL 2K. My CODBs, smpolicy and userdirectory are all on the new SQL server. But even if I point my userdirectory to the old database and reboot, I still cant get in. How can I debug this? Is there something I am missing? How can I get back in? Thanks in advance. Wes ______________________________________________________________________ Structure your ColdFusion code with Fusebox.
