Hi everyone, my customer has Spectrum 8.1 and Service Desk 11.2 installed and integrated. They have ran into one unclear thing. In Spectrum they have chosen around 20 alarms to generate incidents in SD and that works fine. But today, on one Cisco router they've put one interface in 'admin down' status on the device itself. In Spectrum that interface went into 'Maintenance' state - its Status is Off and Condition is Admin Down. Spectrum generated an event (0x10d12) - 'The link status of port (name ...) is now 'disabled''. That event opened an incident in SD and according to our opinion this shouldn't have happened. Severity of the event is Maintenance.
SD says 'This ticket has been created by OneClick as a result of the assertion of an alarm'. There is no alarm in Spectrum! Also SD says this incident's Severity is Originating Event. I' d like to know four things: 1. How the incident was opened in the first place? 2. How can I disable Spectrum generating Maintenance events when interface is put into 'admin down' state? 3. If I close the incident in SD will it clear the event in Spectrum? 4. Can event be cleared in Spectrum and close the incident in SD? Srdačan pozdrav / Kind regards, _____________________________ Omar Izetbegović SI specijalist Sedam IT d.o.o.
