Hi Edgar,

Did you make sure your processd and tomcat services were stopped prior
to starting the installation?

Subject: [spectrum] Spectrum 9.0 installs perfect, but service pack 1
installation fails

Hello list, I am having the following problem, when installing SP1 of
Spectrum 9.0

I perform the installation of Spectrum 9.0 and it goes smoothly, but
when I install SP1, at the beginning everything goes well, but at the
very end, appears the "red line" and the message: the installation has
failed!

It is a W2K3 newly installed box, with no antivirus software, and the
WFirewall is disabled.

Reviewing the Install logs, I saw messages stating that, when the
process is trying to remove the old Java files, is getting "Permission
Denied" or "Access Denied" messages, and of course, it can install the
new java files that comes with SP1. I assume, this is the reason of the
failure.
Also, the account with which I am making the installation is the Local
Admin, and this account have Full Control Permissions in every folder
inside SPECROOT.

Have any of you guys encountered problems installing SP1 of Spectrum 9.0
similar to this one?

Regards
