Dear all

A few days ago we made first steps with Config Manager for all our network
devices and ran into the problem, that with the current setup – where every
device is polled with snmpv2 (because of the 64 bit counters for interface
statistics) – we are not able to collect the current config.

We have tested this behaviour for several manufacturers: various enterasys
switches and also cisco IOS routers.

As soon as we switch back to snmpv1, everything works fine and we can then
collect the actual configs of the above mentioned devices.

So who of you does use snmpv2 for normal polling AND the Config Manager to
collect the running configurations of infrastructure devices ? And could you
give
me advice, in what I did wrong so far ?

Thank you and best regards,

--Fritz.
