As far as I know it is not possible for an event/alarm to trigger a script execution directly. But, there is a solution. The solution involves Spectrum Alarm Notifier. You can create a policy (the filtering options are very good so you can make it as exact as you want) and when the conditions are met, SANM will take over via SetScript, ClearScript and UpdateScript. The default action for these scripts is to send an email but you can replace the “mail” part with your app. Read the manual, because the procedure is explained in detail, and be prepared for trial-and-error. You will get it working in the end.
