OK, I'm not getting the ioctl problem any more, and I even get a response to ifconfig ppp0 now, but I still can't connect to anything in the great wide world outside my laptop. What I do have is a /var/log/daemons/info log FULL of rcvd [LCP confRej id=0xd7 <auth chap MD5> <magic 0x2c9f8ec2>] sent [LCP ConfRej id=0xd7 <auth chap MD5>]
only the id changes... also, the ifconfig tells me <snip> RX packets:0 erros:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:3 <snip> I'm dreading the idea of having to back out my upgrade... I'm sure I've seen people say that they've gotten Mandrake 8.2 working with the drivers before! -sterling Liste de diffusion modem ALCATEL SpeedTouch USB Pour se dsinscrire : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=unsubscribe
