I'm not really that bothered. I tend to work on this stuff when I have time
and then ignore it again for weeks. I'm also not a great IRC fan - I tend
to work in a virtual terminal rather than an xterm so I have BitchX running
on another terminal but don't notice anyone trying to contact me.
(perhaps I should open talkd (maybe via stunnel and client certificates)
so that people can get my attention :-)
All of this means that I don't generally have a feel for what is happening
and if I start commiting stuff to cvs I am likely to want to get approval
from here first anyway.
OTOH, if the cvs people don't want the hassle of actually commiting my changes
then I am happy to do it :-)
