Well, some google search will help : "OAM loopback cells are traditionally used to verify the integrity of a virtual path or virtual circuit between nodes in an ATM network. For CPE ADSL modems, OAM loopback provides a valuable tool for diagnosing problems with the DSL line at the ATM layer. ATM layer problems such as incorrect virtual path and circuit configuration, lost and corrupted ATM cells can be quickly ruled out in the field by initiating a F5 end-to-end loopback (also known as ATM ping) to the DSLAM and have the DSLAM respond by looping back the OAM cells. By ruling out problems with the ATM Layer, the service provider can then focus on examining higher layer protocols and other configurations to isolate the problem. "
http://www.atmxdsl.com/OAMLoopback.html Yeah, we need more info. There is other project that incorpored this feature to its module. This module have been made taking speedtch.c like base so it can help, check the file attached.. I'll be waiting your opinions Regards ----- Original Message ----- From: "Duncan Sands" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Cc: "Eduardo Espejo" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Saturday, June 12, 2004 7:30 AM Subject: [speedtouch] Re: ATM loopback > Hi to all, I'm a user of zyxel 630-11, we use the same module speedtch only > varying vid and pid.. well, some users have conecctions that need OAM loopback > support.. How about you explain what it is, and then we implement it together? Ciao, Duncan.
