Dear Duncan, Sorry for haven't answered before!! I was too much busy at my work. But now, here comes some results of my "tests":
No modem's lights, the system just hangs and nothing else happens, I didn't understand the keys you asked me to press. This key: sysrq?? What is this (sorry if this is a stupid question, but I really did not understood). But when it hangs, the only thing I can do is to hard reboot the pc, even with the green speedtouch usb plugged or not. And the last message I can see is something about "dnResponder" (I'm not sure)... I'll be waiting for more instructions from you! Thank you in advance! Hervandil (almost giving up...almost!)
