Dear Duncan, here comes my new iteraction:

  Ugh! Sorry for this really silly question!

  Yes! Even when I unplug the modem, the system gets locked. The keyboard
also stops to answer, so, the keys you asked me to press doesn't work.

  During the reboot, I could see only 1 strange thing:
  /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit: line 274: data: command not found.
  This message was not shown before installing the Benoit's script.

  And the last message always is shown before hanging is: mDNSResponder ...
  And the [Ok] newer shows up.

  Does it seem to be unfixable?? Will I be sentenced to not using my modem
under Fedora 3???

  PS: I have 655 MB ram, 128 Mb gforce TI 4200 and an ASUS A7N8X (Athlon XP
2000).
