Hi This may not be the best place to ask but I really would appreciate some help. I have just tried to install debian Sarge on my computer, but I know nothing about any linux at all. I have a Speedtouch (330 I think) USB (silver) modem, but I also have an unused ethernet card in my machine. During installation I couldn't install my modem as the only thing debian sees is my ethernet card. After installation I can log in, then ????????? It appears to me to be similar to Dos, is this right? what am I supposed to input to make something happen? Can someone out there help me or do I have to revert to a Windows only machine again? Sorry to be so helpless, but far from ingnorance being bliss I have never felt so stupid in all my life. Hoping that someone will take pity in me Thank you Haze
