            I don't use the dial on startup, because it may have some 
problems of timeout.  I may be confusing.  I dial manually, running the 
script, and including debug and kdebug 5  in the options I look carefully (I 
don't rely very much on the Speedtouch system!!) all the messages from the 
kernel.  I think it is useful.
