           It doesn't run well on boot.  I think It is a question of 
timeouts.  Today I had to dial thrice in order to connect... but usually I 
have it in twice... or at once!!  But I am too lazy to change the parameters 
in, let us see, I have them in  /root/dial (sleep 2, sleep 5) and at 
pppoe-server-options, the lcp-echo-interval 10 and the lcp-echo-failure 2. I 
think that if you tweak these parameters you will get  a reasonable 
connection time. And safer.

       But of course this is Fedora 5.  Surely you have the files in another 
place.
