Greetings fellow listers,

Just thought I'd give a brief progress report on the Spitfire assembly
project. What started this morning as a mostly together but hanging engine
has been transformed into a completely assembled, install, oiled,
antifreezed (antifroze?), gassed , battery charging, almost ready to try to
start car! Damn, it's been a long time coming. Almost 2 years since the
loss of the thrust washers brought on an acute case of Spitfirus
Interruptus. Tomorrow must be spent on non Triumph stuff, but Monday or
Tuesday will find me and some local TR freaks trying out the engine. My
thanks again to all on this list for answering my questions over the life of
this project. I let you know how things go.

Anyone have any pearls of wisdom on starting fresh rebuilds?

'74 Spitfire almost running.
'73 Spitfire a long way from running.
'71 GT6 waiting for money, could be a long wait.
