Just a quickie today, I may have solved the 4000rpm problem - at least
partially.

Should the throttle discs open fully? With the stops on the carbs stopping
them from opening more? I cant figure out how to get the throttle cable to
pull any more - its adjusted right back - but still doesnt pull enough to
rotate the discs as far as they will go.

Also - and this is why I think its only partially fixed - when the whole thing
heats up - the idle is unsteady and lowers quite a bit.

And also - I have a some sort of oil leak - I cant find the source of it -
theres a damp patch below the steering column (near the steering rack) - on
the chassis. Very odd - it was fresh after a drive this morning - can't figure
out for the life of me where its come from! Any one had this before?
