YESSS! I'm sitting here at work Monday morning pinching myself. The
GT6 garage queen has been perched atop jackstands for over two years.

Yesterday, my birthday, as a reward for myself hitting the half century
mark, she roared to life and careened around the neighborhood for a good
ten minutes! Yee haa! (And I do mean roared-- that Rimmer sport
exhaust sings a sweet tune!)

I think I'll farm out the coolant leak behind the water pump-- I just
don't feel like dealing with that myself now. For the rest, the 3rd
speed gear's synchro isn't working; I think the baulk ring has probably
frozen onto the cone. I hope a few heat cycles will free it. And
there's a curious momentary binding in the steering, I'm guessing the
head of a bolt is banging onto some frame structure. It's not unsafe,
but isn't "right" either. H*ll, I'm gonna drive it now and fix that
next winter-- along with all the body work. This now can truly be
called a "rolling restoration."

See you on the road! (Don't forget to wave! ;-)
