Hello Fellow Listers,
Here is my latest problem. We have a restored 78 Spitfire 1500
It appears I have heat all of the time, but it didn't seem to start out that
way. We have had the car since Feb., but now it is really hot here on Cape
Cod. The heater box always feels warm. The cable to the heater valve seems
ok, it moves and seems to be adjusted properly. The heater valve looks new,
but who knows. If I figure it correctly, the heater valve allows radiator
water to enter or not enter the heater box. I can see the little doors under
the dash open and close when I move the left heater lever, and the right
lever correctly moves the arm on the heater valve. Maybe it is just because
its 90 degrees here. How can the heater valve be checked, or do I just go
ahead and replace it.
