If you go to your favorite search engine and type in "Cast Iron Repair" you will find an over abundance of people that provide this service. I was trying to locate (without luck) a company in California that sells a nickel flame spraying process that allows you to use your Oxy Acetylene torch for cast iron repair. I used this process a few years back to modify some cast iron aircraft brake parts for testing. I used a local company (NE Ohio) to do the work as they had purchased the equipment and had been repairing all kinds of engine components (heads, blocks, manifolds, etc) for a number of years with great success. It worked out well for me and was used on components that see a lot of hard use and high loads (both mechanical and thermal). There is bound to be someone in your area that can do the repair and as others have mentioned, stick with nickel as the repair material. Good Luck.
