Dave, IIRC (and I might be wrong), you first need to remove the red knob, which simply unscrews. There is a metal tab sticking out of the housing of the switch, which is held onto the back of dash by a single screw. Remove this screw, and the switch can be pulled out of the rear of the dashboard.
