Won't be able to make the measurement untill next week. I am certainly
curioius. Still think I remember the machine shop saying something like
1/4 inch. But, hell, I can barely remember breakfast !! :-)

If you pull off the valve cover, you can measure the height of the head.
If
it is about 3-1/16" is is right around where I would expect it to be. If
it
is less than 3" I would be concerned.
