That's probably the hardest job to do on a Spitfire. Many an axle/hub/carrier has been destroyed by hydraulic presses and the like when trying to do it without the proper fixtures. And even then, many still get destroyed.

Don't underestimate this job.

bearings on the rear end. Is this very difficult? I have replaced front
and rear wheel bearings on US cars but not on a Spitfire, I will also be
replacing the U-Joints at the same time.
