Over the years, I have gotten rid of most of my car's
rattles, but there are still a couple I can't track
down.

There is no silver bullet; you just take the time to
investigate them one after another.

Keep in mind that there are two situations that can
cause a squeak: 

1: Two parts are supposed to move freely
against one another, but there is not enough
lubrication.

2:  Two parts are supposed to be rigidly fixed to one
another, but a loose bolt, broken weld, etc., is
allowing them to move.

Try spraying water or even WD-40 on a suspected
squeaky place.  If it temporarily reduces the noise,
you have probably identified the culprit.
