Okay, I have tackled another "first time" project (for me anyhow) on my 74 Spitfire - rebuilding the brake master cylinder. I have figured out I have the "early type" of tandem master cylinder. I have been following the instructions as per the Haynes manual, but I have officially passed the two hour point in failing to extract the secondary piston from the master cylinder unit. Is there some of secret to extracting this? The Haynes manual doesn't allude to one. Any input from someone with more experience on this issue would be appreciated.
